Latvian media advertising market has increased by 3% during the year 2014
Riga, April 10, 2015 - Latvian Advertising Association (LAA) and market, public opinion and media research agency TNS Latvia have gathered the results of the Latvian media advertising market for the year 2014. In 2014 the media advertising market grew by 3% compared to 2013. The media advertising market in 2014 reached 75.63 million euros.
TOP 5 advertised sectors
In 2014, retail business has maintained its position as an industry advertised most often by the Latvian media. The finance and service industry has gained one position and reached the second place in comparison to the previous year. Also, pharmacy industry has reached one position higher than in 2014 (the 3rd place). The telecommunication industry has jumped up for five positions and reached the 4th place among the most advertised areas. TOP5 ends by the mobile communication industry, which is the position for three places lower in 2014 than in 2013.
TOP 5 largest advertisers
Tele2 keeps its position of the largest advertiser in the Latvian media in 2014 generally, the same as during the first half of the year. Bite has grown for five positions in comparison to 2013; that turns it into the second largest advertiser. Being at the third position, Maxima takes two positions higher than in 2013. Rimi has been the fourth largest advertiser of 2014 that is for two positions higher than a year before. TOP5 ends by 4Finance, which has grown for three positions in comparison to 2013.
TOP 5 most advertised brands
In 2014, Maxima has been the brand most advertised by the Latvian media, thus keeping its position of the previous year. Also Bite has not changed its second place in comparison to 2013. Rimi is the third most frequently advertised brand, and it takes a position higher in comparison to 2013. The fourth most advertised brand has been Smscredit.lv, it rose for two positions. Tele2 ends the list of TOP5 most advertised brands in 2014 at the same position as in 2013.
