London, June 27, 2006 - TNS, a leading provider of TV and radio audience measurement (TAM) services, has today announced a new agreement with Viasat Broadcasting for the provision of TV audience measurement services in the three Baltic States for another three years.

Viasat is the leading broadcaster in the Baltics through its main channel TV3. The agreement will run for three years and will cover all three countries – Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania – for both audience data and Advertising Expenditure (AdEx) estimates.

After signing the contract Tony Taylor, Global Marketing Director, internet TV & Radio Audience Measurement Sector, TNS, said: “We are very pleased to have signed this new contract with Viasat, which is a leading broadcaster across Scandinavia, Russia and Central Europe as well as in the Baltics. The fact that Viasat has re-appointed TNS to continue supplying audience measurement services highlights their confidence in us.”

TV audience data (TV-ratings) and AdEX monitoring data are used by broadcasters and other participants in media and advertising industry for planning TV programmes and advertising. Advertising monitoring research covers all TV channels where advertising may be placed. The panel size of homes that participate in the peoplemeter measurement in the Baltics is 850 households.
